“Just be yourself; they’ll love you.”

This is something my mom has told me, my sister, and my brother almost every first day of school we’ve had. When we were really young it was a good reminder that we all have unique characteristics that others will love. Now it’s more of an inside joke, but it’s still really nice to remember and think about from time to time. It’s something I’ll tell my kids when they go to school.
