“Be Still. Be Present. Be Intentional.”

Friend

I feel like with each passing year it has become easier to slip into a world built around constant connection to smart phones, to do lists, and hectic agendas. In conversations, I find mind slipping to what I am going to do or say next. When with my family, I am thinking about the next three things I must get done, and even while typing this document, I have switched between screens—25 times! Be still is a reminder to look beyond the smart phone and enjoy what is going on around me. Be present is a prompt to absorb from others and listen constantly. Be intentional is a cue to be reflective and be “at-cause” always. I love this quote as a reminder that relationships, reflections, and work are most meaningful and most supported when these three items.
