“Don’t be busy for the sake of being busy.”

Fiancé

Mason is one of the smartest people I’ve ever met. That said, he’s also incredibly determined – he was one of the first five people at his current company and has been instrumental to the company’s success. His calendar is always full and he’s spread way too thin, but he rarely ever complains. Friday comes and he shuts off entirely for the weekend. It wasn’t until I watched him operate that I realized that so many people (myself included) sometimes are busy for the sake of being busy – it makes them feel more important. I think it’s so important to keep this in mind as we leave business school. Dial in and focus 110% at work, of course, but if you have the day off or a meeting is cancelled on a Friday, get outside and spend time with your loved ones!
